I know a young man who worked for more than eight hours a day and returned home with a happy heart after a whole day's hard work.  His happiness was never seen to diminish due to hard work.  He is 3 km from his office.  He lived in a small house in a distant village.  He did not have the modern amenities of life, after work he used to return home on foot.  He used to study for one or two hours every day.  Being denied admission in the college, he passed the private examination and obtained a university degree.  None of his office officials or co-workers got an opportunity to criticize or anger him.  Everyone believed in him and looked at him with respect.  From knowledge comes humility.  - This utterance was fully implemented on him.  He did not bow down to anyone for his personal gain.  He did not resort to any unfair means to fulfill his needs.  He was of pure heart.  Due to his qualities of efficiency, punctuality, patience and infinite enthusiasm in work, he rose to a very high position in a highly respected organization.  His behavior towards his subordinates was generous and cooperative, but at the same time he was so strict that no one could take the wrong advantage of his gentleness.  He fought for justice and did not bow down to evil forces.  Today he is the father of three children, self-restrained and not addicted.  What did you do by providing relief to your many fellow human beings?I saw an aura of inner peace on the face of this tireless energetic man of contented mind.  On meeting him, I asked, 'What was the principle of your success in life?  What was the specialty of your work?  How did you face life's problems?  ' He said, 'I don't think I have any special qualities.  Maybe it all happened by the grace of God.  But this much I can definitely say that my parents told me to do each and every task with utmost sincerity and sincerity.  Since childhood, I had to take responsibilities.  If I do not perform my responsibilities properly, then everyone will call me bad.  Although there were temptations and attractions along the way, but I was saved from the fear of reproach and humiliation.  Then an old man would say to me again and again, "If you learn to do your work properly, then you need not be afraid of anyone.  "When I heard some people say that a boy does a good job, it gave me an indirect encouragement. Since then I have come to believe that a person who does his work with dedication and devotion, has a tremendous power of self-confidence.  And his personality starts to develop. He gets opportunities to guide and help others. Due to his morale, he does not get discouraged by failure. Therefore, the doors of high positions are easily opened for him.  Even progress or achievement propels him forward. If pride, arrogance and audacity do not bring him down, then at some point he gets respect from peers, officials and the public. Even if they do not express it openly,  But we do express it by our behavior. This increases our efficiency day by day.'I asked, 'I have heard that the workload is imposed only on hardworking people.  He replied, 'It is okay that sometimes the above will impose additional work, but in the beginning one has to be prepared to bear this little inconvenience.  Sometimes we may feel that we are being suppressed, but if we are patient and consider it a challenge to our perseverance and endurance, then I think we will get success.  ' During this time I have developed a philosophy of karma.  Karma is not merely a means of subsistence, but a means of removing obstacles to the expression of pure joy of the heart.  Whatever our profession, if we complete our work with full concentration, it gives us satisfaction and joy.  An increase in the pay scale is not the only way to encourage higher level of work and success in it, a high attitude towards work and skill in its execution only improves its level.  When we realize that true happiness comes as a result of the work done with full concentration, then we will not ignore even the smallest tasks, but will complete them with integrity and honesty.  ' I asked, 'does this philosophy also apply to monotonous and boring work?  Not only do you get pleasure and inspiration from creative work, but is it possible to achieve them through mechanical work also?  ' He replied, 'I don't think there is any work which is completely creative and free from boredom.  The creative work of every genius, behind every artwork, there is some effort or the other.hidden truth 29 |  It is well known that if we are not able to do any necessary work properly, then we feel dissatisfied.  The sorrow of not being successful plagues the mind.  No matter how boring the task may be, when we complete it properly, then we feel peace, contentment and relaxation.  This is everyone's experience.  'Have you made a habit of doing your work well?  This habit will increase your strength and enthusiasm.  With excellence in work, your whole personality will develop.  Sir William Osler was a noted Canadian physician from the ordinary to the best.  He used to suffer from stress in student life.  When he studied at the public hospital in Montreal, he was worried about the future.  He was filled with worry, doubt and uncertainty.  He was horrified to see the size of the books he had to read for the final examination.  They thought that maybe they would not be able to read them completely, wondered how they would be able to remember so many things for the exam?  Even if you pass the exam, where will you get a job?  Will I have to do a private business?  For that too capital and luck are needed.  How to get success in this fiercely competitive world?  In this way they used to remain worried and doubtful about life.  But this quote of Carlyle, read incidentally, turned his life-stream - 'We should see only the near clear object except the distant object.  ' From this he came out of the depths of his fall and inspired him to become an extraordinary man.
